We are VERY happy with Summit of Uptown. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help. Frequently I will call ahead so they can remind mom to be ready and they are great doing so. Food and portions are ideal as well. Everything is wonderful. Very pleased with our decision to move her here.

I can't speak highly enough about this facility. I feel so blessed that we were able to find such a wonderful place for my husband. They did their best to make it be the closest to being home as possible and succeeded totally. The staff are professional, caring, friendly, and everyone goes out of their way to make you comfortable. The food is fresh, tasty and varied. The facility is very clean, and again, very homey. The people who work and live at the summit are wonderful. The facility is clean and decorated tastefully. There are activities to keep my dad busy all day long. He is known by name, and I feel good that he is in the right spot

The staff at Summit of Uptown is amazing. Very helpful and supportive. The move in process was so easy. They have been wonderful with my mom. Lots of activities. Residents are warm and welcoming. It's also great that they are in downtown Park Ridge - good restaurants nearby; also right next door to Trader Joe's. The apartment is very spacious- lots of closet space. Very light. Everyone is very friendly, therapy is good, food is good. But there seems to be lack of communication with regard to some of my sister's medications. Seems that she doesn't receive one of her pills to help with her itching because head nurse feels she will be over medicated even though the script was written by the attending physician at Resurrection Hospital while she was there from an ER visit. We are currently looking into this.
My mother-in-law gets great care, she recently had a cold, and they immediately called her doctor for cough medicine for her. They have wonderful activities great food. and most importantly a wonderful and caring staff. We cannot say enough good things about them.
Overall I am disappointed. It is not as advertised in the beginning to me and there have been many issues. The biggest area for improvement would be the food and the dining room service. I would recommend the facility, but with reservations.
