overall experience was suitable for my needs.
i think this place was very effective, i can say i wish i had a different counselor while i was here i did not like the way he talked to me and he barely talked to me only 2 times while i was here and for 20 mins at a time
Staff was incredibly helpful. My experience here has taught me many new coping skills and helped me to identify new solutions for my recovery. I am very thankful that I came to Sunrise House.
Besides being understaffed most days, the great people and community were a huge support during my stay.

I was very pleased with the staff here, they were all extremely professional and caring. I was disappointed that there was no dedicated veteran/PTSD track as was advertised on the website, but I understand that there was a recent change in upper management and the facility is presently in a transition period.
Groups are very educational for addiction, some groups are very repetitive if you stay 30 days. Housekeeping doesn't do a good job, bathrooms are very dirty and rarely cleaned. Very little structure and organization on weekends, very short staffed in most departments. Most TA's are not in the loop of what is going on for that day, extreme lack of communication between all the departments. I was down for the count when I arrived here. Desperate for help. This was the first time I had wanted to put myself into a rehab and I can honestly say that I made the right choice. The Staff was excellent and welcomed me with open arms. The groups are educational and fun ( KAKAKA (Hi Katie!)). Theres a large gym that I went to every morning with enough equipment to keep you in shape.
