I have a love hate relationship with Sushi Saki -- I want to LOVE it but I have hate it! Located in the Eldorado Casino (in front of the steakhouse/downstairs from Roxy) it's a perfect location. #1 I live across the street #2 I game at ELD! AYCE sushi was a bit of a let down. They do some creative rolls but extremely ricey. The Basil Roll use to be the saving grace but the last one I ordered it; it was mostly rice and swimming in the spicy basil oil. It was more like soup the sushi. The service drives me nuts. I usually ord... read more

Head Chef Khun has been around the Reno scene for a long time. I remember him back from Benihana at the Flamingo Hilton! Anyways, he's no longer doing Teppanyaki. He's go to guy at Sushi Saki. Sushi here is a nice change of pace from anywhere else in Reno. There's some usual favorites but Chef Khun is more known for his skills at cutting nigiri. Because this isn't a large sushi bar like the others in town, he keeps quality in control. My only negative feedback is what he doesn't control. Servers here always seem lost and pri... read more
We came to visit the casinos and really wanted sushi. Stopped here during happy hour, so the AYCE was 24.00. We sat at the bar and the chef was funny and amusing. Our waitress was polite and since it was just before the dinner hour it wasn't packed. The rolls were excellent. I think my favorite was the Volcano, it was spicy! I would totally recommend this place and when we are in town we will be back!
We decided to go again tonight and found the fish to be amazing again. The rice was seasoned just right. I decided to order the Salmon Popper with habanero and the Volcano roll that includes habanero. All sushi restaurants need habaneros! I had the usual nigiri (hamachi, sake, maguro) and those long rolls. The finishing touch was a salmon skin hand. It wasn't just salmon skin, there was salmon on the salmon skin which is just the way I like it. Hold the teriyaki sauce if you want. I had no regrets. My go to sushi for sure. G... read more
I never knew this place existed, and I am so glad to have found it. I had a Mount Fuji roll and everything in it and on it was sooooo fresh! Fish would almost melt in your mouth in every bite. I also ordered the Hamachi Kama which just the same was mouth watering especially if youre a fish lover, its a definite must try. Chef Khun is just the best (hopefully I spelt his name right) super friendly, accommodating and just made rolls extra good for our group. Too bad they were out of mussels tonight so I was not able to try it.... read more
Wow, best sushi I've ever had. Hands down... I normally don't write yelp reviews, but between the great service and amazing food I just had to... The servers where all super fun and helpful. They helped me choose from their extensive menu. I was so pleased with every reccomendation. I over heard the chefs with the customers sitting at the bar, they where all laughing and having a good time. The whole environment was relaxing, and joyful. I got all you can eat, and I ate all that I could... The deluxe nigiri hit the spot, the... read more
I will say a VERY NICE ATMOSPHERE! Its just the variety of sushi on menu didnt make it for me. I had to have them add this and take out that... normally other sushi places have several rolls i like with the type of ingrediant combos i like . But other than that. Great service and ambience.
In the Bay Area all you can eat sushi goes for about $25 but it is mostly cheap small rolls with a ton of rice. You won't get that here that's forsure! The rolls were very interesting and tasted great. THe nigiri was also super fresh! Way fresher than and ayce sushi place I've been to at home. They also have all you can eat dessert which was so shocking to me. They don't offer this at any other place I've been to. So overall great fish and great service for such a small place. Thank you chef Michael for the great sushi!
Ok, so I've been coming here for a few years now and I will say it is my favorite place. The waitstaff have become my friends and we now follow the sushi chef, Khoun, where ever he goes. The sushi he is so tender and the flavor a so good. Truly, Sushi Sake had my vote for best sushi in Reno. All the staff make it a point to get to know you. We are regulars and I have always walked into here with welcome arms. They remember my family and inquire about how we are all doing. They know my son can't have gluten or dairy and make ... read more
