It's nice to see more taco spots pop out throughout the city. We were recently on a little staycation in downtown so decided to stop by here for dinner before watching the bay parade of lights nearby. My kids love tacos and fries so we figured this would be quick and easy. It's right smack in the middle of the gaslamp so parking was not the most ideal but after circling a bit we found a close spot. There are plenty of seats all around and I didn't walk past the counter but it looks like a lot more seating back there as w... read more
Suadero 3/5 It's too juicy the tortilla falls apart. Asada 5/5 Adobada 5/5 Happy I tried this place I would come back for the Al pastor alone it's the best I've tasted. It's a little pricey but it's downtown San Diego. I look forward to trying the TJ location. I give 5 stars because it's better than a 4.1 which is the current rating.

Gracias Alessandro! Thank you so much for your review!! We get lots of fake reviews and hate from our competitors. To us, all tha matters is that we get to serve people like you. Gracias!
Awesome location downtown. Close to everything gaslamp... but w the downtown difficulties of finding parking (as to always be expected). The venue is well marked, well lit, and plenty of seating. There's a counter to order and easy to read menu. You get only a small peek into the kitchen .. but you can see the beloved adobada meat spit rotating from the front. We ordered a variety of tacos and mixture fries. Tacos are standard street tacos... adobada is the meat to get. It was fantastic, juicy, and extremely well flavored. ... read more
I took it to go and the Adobado got a lil messed up but was the best tasting of the two. The Asada was not bad but in comparison to other places nearby, it lacked luster (seasoning and smokiness).
1. The food was AMAZINGLY delicious! Never a hit or miss I love traveling to the OG spot in tj! 2. The environment, the ambiance of THIS taqueria was spectacular and the service was awesome the young lady in the front with purple hair had such an amazing attitude and was very welcoming I really enjoyed the fact that she broke down and explained in very nice detail what each item was in the menu highly recommended always !

Gracias Susi! We are very pleased that you liked our SD location. We're always happy to take care of you at any of our locations! And we're expanding! Gracias!
Vampiro adobado was delicious - good spice level & I loved the melty cheese on the crispy corn tortilla tostada style. Smear of guac finished it nicely!

Gracias Kim! It was our pleasure serving you. Hope we’ve earned your favorite Taco spot award :D
New Mexican taco gem alert! Opened a month ago with trendy vibes--staff sing while crafting fresh tacos (so fun & lively! ). Tried beef, pork, and beef tongue (the tongue was insanely tender--TOP PICK! ). Toppings are staff-served (no self-service ). Tacos lovers, add this to your must-visit list ASAP!
Def a good option for street tacos in DT. I mean sometimes you don't wanna wait in a crazy line for tacos el gordo and if that's the case this is second best taste wise. Please please please be warned they put beans in their tacos so if your like me and despise beans make sure you tell them to omit. Their adobada can't come close to their competition but their carne asada is def wayyyy better!
Only tried the Assad fries here, which were very solid. Fries were crispy, good amount of meat and overall good balance of ingredients!
