One of the newest Tiajuana taco shops jumps over the border fence into hungry San Diego. Unlike Tacos El Gordo, you got a very clean modern and welcoming environment, and much more seating. Tacos are a bit pricier, but they do seem a bit larger and tastier. Service is straight forward but friendly. $4.75 Taco de Cabeza(Beef Head)...beef cheeks and whatever meaty bits they can salvage from the cow head. Come here because I'm a huge fan of Tijuana location & playas. San Diego is sadly not 5 starts. Lacking flavor, the portion is less. The taco was not hot the fries had sprinkled meat and almost no cheese. Disappointing. On the other hand clean place nice and staff I'd great.
The veggie fries were absolutely amazing. Perfect even for leftovers! Not to mention front of house was super on top of it and kind!

We tried both locations. National City and now this location in Downtown this week. The tacos were amazing. Full Tijuana experience. I highly recommend this place. The owner Roberto was checking upon us making sure the food and service were on point. The adobada and vampires were delicious.
Food and service are top notch! The place reminds me of TJ big time, I grew up going to the Tijuana Tacos El Franc. Best tacos in SD
The atmosphere is nice but they need to cook the carne asada longer. Service is good very kind great customer service.
We had the carne asada tacos, french fries and flan. I recommend them all! Definitely worth the wait that's created by standing in line to order. Great seating area in the back. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Michelin star taco stand from Tijuana. Absolutely the best.

Food is delicious! Adriana and Liz were so helpful And kind! They're very hard workers and dedicated to their customer service, food was quick to come out and very fresh! The only thing that that I found distasteful was the taquero in the back, I didn't catch his name but he wears a black shirt and has glasses, and is a little bit older. Many times I saw and heard him openly scold Adriana right in front of all of their coworkers and costumers for things that were out of her control and was just straight up nasty with her, ... read more
