It's a win for a vegetarian that they have an option! Maybe even two on their whole menu. It's a good vegetarian taco, but pretty basic that you can make just as well at home. The service here though is definitely top notch. Quick and friendly. Lots of seating. Boyfriend said the asada taco is pretty good - has a nice smokiness to it. Just a tough selection when you have Tacos El Gordo down the street. But still worth a try! No crazy line or long wait for the food.

Business response:

Gracias Sonia. Thanks for stopping by. Hope we earned your business! See you soon!

Food was amazing, adobada was immaculate. To be honest better than tacos el gordo down the street. Also the beef brisket was so tender and delicious

Reallllllly tasty!! I love a Tijuana style taco and these don't miss. Adobada and suadero are a must and they have a tasty lengua!! Don't skip the flan its way too good and its a nice slice! Service is so friendly! We picked up the wrong tray and they were so nice about ensuring everyone had the right order! Love it. Ambiance is fun and like a classic counter service spot but the art makes it more fun!

Business response:

Maddie!! Gracias very much!! We love your review. Thank you from the heart!

Our first impression was with the female cashier she was unfriendly short with us and couldn't care less if we were there or not. The two Quesa tacos I had were OK, they were supposed to be Carne Asada, but they were really being tacos with a tiny bit of meat in them. They lacked depth the flavor and the guacamole was green goop, way too expensive for what I received

Good sized restaurant with plenty of seating. Service was great- very attentive and food came out quick. We did a taco tour so we only ordered an asada taco and an adobada taco. The adobada taco won me over here. It was super saucy and flavorful.

I think this place slaps. I prefer it over tacos el Gordos. The service is quick and friendly. The space is not for large parties but you can make it work. When I eat here, I eat outside - the place needs better ventilation system. It's Smokey inside and you'll definitely smell like it

We were so excited to stop by on a whim while passing by but left disappointed. Fast service, you get your food quickly even with a long line, staff was pleasant. Food was ehh, the flavoring on the adobada tasted like chorizo initially and the spices they use are a tad overwhelming, i know nailing good adobada is not easy but it definitely should not be the first choice of meat offered. Guacamole was not flavored well either, the only that tasted good was the fries on their own.

Michelin star taco joint! Count me in intrigued! Like I said before, when in San Diego, one must get some tacos. I was also determined to not eat at the same taco place twice so I had to go here since OH IT IS NEW TO ME. Busy as heck in here. It is in the middle of the Gaslamp District and with having a Michelin star I guess that's a caveat to it. Now what did I order? I ordered three tacos. One was carne asada I believe while the other two were al pastor. They all tasted great but my mind wasn't blown away or anything. I ... read more
