The food is on the lower end of acceptable to moderately disappointing. While I had initially wanted to add that the price point compounds the lack of satisfaction, I suppose it is not too terrible, given the area and ingredient quality. When it comes to execution for the Norway Benedict, I had initially wanted to give between a 1 to 2 star rating. Went on March 16th when our son was home. It has been his favorite place for years. My husband even gives us gift cards to enjoy Ted's. Previously we have had solid service from Mr. Genero and other staff members. During Covid we were avid customers. Take out was a regular event. We sat down for breakfast today, a Sunday, at 8 am. We ordered a cinnamon roll, but we were told that the cinnamon rolls wouldn't be ready until 8:30, so we ordered other breakfast items. Since we were craving something sweet and we were unable to get the cinnamon roll, we decided to get a slice of Pumpkin Layer Cake to go for later. The cake is awful. Straight up terrible! The bartender is just a person occupying the bar and the short rib pot roast was just a small block of overcooked short rib sitting on top of 3 baby carrots., luke warm at best mashed potatoes and cold sauce. The restaurant was not busy on a Friday night which was a sign. I was in the area visiting and have been a few restaurants in the town mall area. This one is definitely the worst. The food was terrible. The salmon was so dry and tasteless. The empanadas were greasy. The cornbread was burned black. They bought a second one and charged for two! Chocolate chip cookie sundae was hard like a rock. In fact, rocks are softer. Overpriced. Awful inedible food. Waitress however was terrific. I would give zero stars if I could. And I rarely complain.

What happened to this place? Used to be an awesome lunch spot. $60 for hash and eggs and a caesar salad? you should expect more than some chopped up home fries and a bowl of wilted romaine leaves! There are so many other great places in reston. go somewhere else!

The food was great... but I didn't like the service at all. I left the note for waitress with points why I didn't leave tips for her. We were sitting outside and it was very nice at the beginning. Our small table didn't have umbrella (I was with my 2 year old son). But it's fine, because the man brought my breakfast very fast. The waitress recommended me to pick STRAWBERRY tart, saying it's the best. And I did. I told her to bring it after breakfast. I made an order online and when I went to pick it up, I found out they gave it to somebody else, and they asked me to take somebody's else order, I refused and I asked to talk to the manager but he didn't want to come to me, and at the end they asked me if I can wait 20 minutes to make an other one, I was totally fine and just standing waiting for my order next to the door, and guess what, after 15 minutes of wait the manager (the bold guy) came out with no reason at all and asked me to leave, I tried to understand, he start... read more
