Thai Square in Islington has sophisticated decor and impecable service. The food is thai food at its best with reasonable prices. Ideal for an evening of food and conversation with loved ones or friends.
I was a little disappointed with the interior of the restaurant and was expecting something a bit more luxurious (given the fancy sign outside). I would treat this place as a kind of pizza express for Thai food as the value for money and the food were good, but it seemed to have that kind of feel.
Thai Square is a chain of thai restaurants and as such I had avoided this place before. However, this restaurant is just great. It is light, lots of space and a wide variety of food to choose from at reasonable prices. The mixed starters to share are particularly good value.
Food here is ok, fairly authentic. Only tried Jungle Curry, which was fine + very spicy.
Thai Square is great for an inexpensive meal in a nice setting. Just skip the greasy, rubbery appetisers and go straight to the mains. The stir-frys and currys are really tasty and the portions generous.
The food was delicious as usual and very good value for money. The only downside was that we were sitting very near the entrance and so eveytime someone walked in we got a blast of cold air. Would definiely go again but request to sit elsewhere!
Lovely detox food but I was disappointed to be offered the set menu at first. After fighting my way out of it everything was better. £23pp with drinks at Thai Sq. in Islington. Ambience is fine but toilets needs help. Been there before and will go again.
I was very impressed with the food at theTai Square, especially the pork (very tender) However i did go on a saturday night and felt a bit rushed, maybe it would be nicer during the week when it isnt so busy.
Tried this place out despite earlier reviews as it was handy for the Red Lion Theatre Pub - our next stop. Service was excellent - but was midweek and only half tables covered. I can see how it may slip when very busy, but overall no complaints!
