If you want to go out with a large group of friends it is a good restaurant as you can make noise without being intrusive to others. I would reccomend it for bigger groups.
Absolutely appalling service for my husband's birthday at Thai Square Islington & 50 mins wait per course. Yet, the tall waiter with glasses kept going into the kitchen and coming out with his mouth full and eating food! The management of the restaurant should watch the CCTV for Saturday 3 Feb and they will see him with food obscenely gorged in his mouth. Saturday night was probably not the best night to book a table there. Otway way too busy for the amount of staff that I had. We waited 1hr before we got a glass of water, and that wasn't even our main drinks. Word of warning for the establishment, don't take alot of bookings if you're low on staff. It make for a bad customer experience.
Wow, what a disappointment. poor food, tasted VERY salty and processed. We felt we were processed (like the food) and turned around as soon as possible. With the choice available in Islington, we felt we missed out and very disappointed.
We felt very rushed by the waiter, we had a booking for 20:30, we were seated very promptly and our orders were taken. However once our starters arrived we was informed the kitchen and bar was closing and if we would like to order more. Which wasn’t an issue, until our main course arrived and our waiter came to the table again and told us that the restaurant was closing in 20 minutes and brought us the bill and card reader whilst we was still eating. The food was not nice at all. Three of us dining didn't finish our meals. Soggy 'coconut' rice, with no taste of coconut, watery tasteless massaman curry. I make better pad thai at home! Not worth the cost or the journey at all! I do not recommend!
Having eaten at the Thai Square at Minories a few times, we are familiar with the good food and service received there. We were ‘greeted’ at the Islington restaurant by a very frustrated male who seemed exasperated with us because the reservation is made via Opentable (and which I showed the app and email confirmation for) was not on his system. Late service! Bad pad Tai
Very disappointed, we booked for 5 people and were looking forwards to our meal, we arrived at the time we booked. We were told the restaurant was full and they couldnt seat us until an hour later.
