Haven’t been in a long time. Food wasn’t good at all. Has definitely gone down hill since last time we were there.

Business response:

Hi Eric,We’re sorry to hear your return visit didn’t live up to the experience you remembered. As a family-owned restaurant with deep roots in the community, it’s tough to hear when a longtime guest feels we’ve fallen short. Your feedback is appreciated, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another try down the line—we’d love the chance to make a better impression.

Horrible… Made for people who does’nt known what is real italian food. The only thing that is italian in there is the pictures on the wall.

Business response:

We’re sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your visit, Lise. As a family-owned restaurant with 90 years of Italian-American tradition, we understand that everyone has their own expectations when it comes to Italian cuisine. While our style blends heritage recipes with approachable favorites, we appreciate your feedback and will take it to heart.

Came back again after last bad experience as we still had a gift card. This time going in we knew to try the pizza. Caesar salads were good. My clam chowder came out lukewarm. Good taste but clams were chewy. We ordered a large cheese pizza. Took forever to come out. This was a 4:30p reservation. When it did come out, it was also lukewarm. Pizza quality was not much better than a frozen pizza. Cheese so far from crust and crust was hard and inedible.

Business response:

We’re sorry to hear this return visit still didn’t meet expectations, Kevin. While we’re glad you enjoyed the Caesar salads and chowder flavor, the temperature and timing of your meal clearly fell short. That’s not the standard we strive for—especially for a pizza we’re proud to serve fresh from our ovens daily. We appreciate you giving us another shot and will be sharing your feedback with our team to help us improve.

Service was slow and server barely checked in, dinks were far too strong and I couldn’t even drink it. Food was fine but not worth a trip back.

Business response:

Thanks, Julie. We're sorry to hear the service and drinks didn’t meet expectations—definitely not the experience we aim to provide. While we're glad the food was okay, we understand your overall visit fell short. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to keep improving.

We went on valentines weekend. Sat in the bar side ver noises. Didn’t get points for open table why? Won’t return in a hurry

Business response:

Thank you, Judy! We appreciate you dining with us over Valentine’s weekend. We’re sorry to hear the bar area was noisier than expected and that there was an issue with your OpenTable points. While we do our best to ensure reservations are processed correctly, we recommend reaching out to OpenTable support for assistance with your points. We value your feedback and hope you’ll consider visiting us again in the future!

Not impressed. Food was barely warm and server was very inattentive.

I’ve grew up on Chateau. I lived around the corner in Waltham and it makes me sad to say this. THe Andover location has been steadily declining for several years. Pizza was always good, not anymore. Food is not good, staff is kind of rude. Not worth spending money on. I may try Waltham, hope they’re still good.

Business response:

We’re truly saddened to hear about your disappointment with our Andover location, especially given your history with us in Waltham. We value your feedback and will share it with our team. We hope we can regain your trust if you decide to visit us again.

Okay it's my favorite restaurant and I talking the Andover one. We go out of our way to go to this restaurant being we do have one near by. Last night Nov 24th Sunday at 7:30 pm we sat in our booth on bar side there was a booth behind us that sat 4 people and a side from speaking ridiculous loud, they played Spanish music so Loud we couldn't even hear the restaurant music. We were not happy and we felt the waitress should of told them to turn it down

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback, Diane. We’re so sorry to hear that the actions of other guests impacted your experience at our Andover location, especially given your loyalty to dining with us. In the future, please don’t hesitate to let our staff know if something like this occurs. We’d be happy to find a quieter area for you to enjoy your visit to the fullest. We truly appreciate your patronage and look forward to welcoming you back for another enjoyable meal.

Disappointed in quality of food and poor service. Salad was the only half-decent thing served to us. Parmigiana dishes are made with provolone, have never eaten at an Italian restaurant that does not serve mozzarella. Sauce tasted burnt, toasted ravioli tasted overcooked and reheated. Mini-cannoli was filled with a terrible custard like cream that was tart, definitely not ricotta. Even the quality of bread has diminished. Their bread used to be so good, now it tastes like grocery store white bread and not fresh baked Italian... read more
