About The Chef My name is Paul Friedman and I like to think of myself as just an ordinary guy who has had a lifetime love affair with food and the fortune of having owned and operated 58 restaurants in South Africa, Europe and the United States. I grew up in what was known as the Transvaal province of South Africa, they called it the land of the Xhosas, one of the major ethnic tribes in this part of Africa. Really love this place. Diane sisters is amazing. Very South African and very good. It is celebrating dinner type place. They have wonderful drinks and an apt wine menu. Try the lobster Mac it’s delicious. Sticky toffee is a must get dessert wether you get the bread pudding or cheesecake.

The Chef's Table is an inviting, upscale restaurant with a modern feeling atmosphere. They also play jazzy covers of popular music that adds to the vibe. We started with the ceviche, garlic Naan, and baked mussels. Each was a generous serving and incredibly flavorful. The Naan and Mussels were especially enjoyed. Celebrating my anniversary with my wife was a great experience at The Chef’s Table. Food was unique and flavorful without an alarming amount or salt. I loved the South African inspiration in the dishes. I was not expecting that. Petra was a fantastic person to facilitate our dining experience.
