About The Chef My name is Paul Friedman and I like to think of myself as just an ordinary guy who has had a lifetime love affair with food and the fortune of having owned and operated 58 restaurants in South Africa, Europe and the United States. I grew up in what was known as the Transvaal province of South Africa, they called it the land of the Xhosas, one of the major ethnic tribes in this part of Africa. Together with fellow N'guni peoples, the Zulu. They make up the majority of the South African population. There are ano... read more

Great experience from start to finish
We did the Culinary Journey and oh man! The flavors were so good and so unique. Our server Daniel was so knowledgeable and friendly and only enhanced our experience. 6 stars!!! Can’t wait to go back.
Absolutely wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Very attentive staff.
Very good, full of flavor and great portions!
Amazing restaurant! My server Glenda was very professional and was very welcoming and made my first time experience amazing. Food was so good and on point. You can taste the love and passion in the food. I enjoyed every bit of it and the scenario inside and outside was Beautiful.
Everything was delicious! That sauce on the perfectly cooked steak... W O W ! And the sides & dessert were all amazing! We would love to visit again next time we are in Houston. 👏👏👏👏
Impeccable. We have been here a few times and it’s always amazing! We loved everything! Happy hour on the patio on a nice day can not be beat!
The ostrich is a must try if you like meat. To me, it was like a cross between a nice steak and duck. The meat had the texture of a steak but the tenderness and moistness of a duck. The hummus was meh. The octopus from the seas around Portugal was delicious. Overall, a great restaurant and I would be happy to come back. I didn't give it five stars because the service was slow and the server was forgetful, although the dining room wasn't very busy when we were there.
Our servers Lindsey and Jessica were amazing and very attentive. Our meal choices were delicious, ribeye & jumbo prawns and African sole - phenomenal choices!
