We had a great meal with absolutely the best service imaginable. I had the kingklip that is topped with crab meat and lobster on top of sautéed spinach, with a side a brussel sprouts and potatoes. It was the most delicious fish I’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly. The chef and manager came to the table to greet us and again to thank us after our meal. We ended our meal with sticky toffee as our dessert. I can’t wait to go back.
Always enjoy going there. Good food, drinks, atmosphere, with nicest service folks. And, Paul the owner, is there always to meet with the customer.
This is by far our favorite restaurant ! Occasionally Chef Paul will stop by our table and you can feel the passion he has for his culinary art. Absolutely everything is delicious but my favorite is The Diane Sisters and Onion Bajai. Oh, and don’t forget the red flight of South African wines when you visit!
Just read all of the other 5 star reviews because they have already said everything I would like to say and agree with. Our waitress, Shayla, was amazing as well. The Portuguese Beef Pendurada was super tender and goes nicely with the Diane sauce.
The only thing better than our lunch was the service Ms Petra was flawless
My mom and I had the most amazing experience at The Chef’s Table! Our waitress Shayla was the bartender and made great recommendations for everything including the South African white wine. The drinks were delicious and the food was out of this world. We had the charred octopus, 12oz kingklip and mielie pap with chakalaka sauce. Chef Paul even came out to say hi and made me a special gf dessert for my birthday. Highly recommend for an amazing experience all around!

Our server Ryan was very nice. He recommended some dishes since it was out first time. He food was amazing so delicious. He drinks were also really really good. I will be coming back soon!!
