About this business

About The Chef My name is Paul Friedman and I like to think of myself as just an ordinary guy who has had a lifetime love affair with food and the fortune of having owned and operated 58 restaurants in South Africa, Europe and the United States. I grew up in what was known as the Transvaal province of South Africa, they called it the land of the Xhosas, one of the major ethnic tribes in this part of Africa. Together with fellow N'guni peoples, the Zulu. They make up the majority of the South African population. There are ano... read more

My new favorite restaurant. We ordered the tasting menu and neither of us could finish it. Everything was delicious but the fish was 10 stars. I've already made another dinner reservation for March when a friend is coming to visit. We got the key lime pie to go and Oh. My. God. I am so glad we did. It was the best key lime pie I have ever had. Our server and the server at the table next to us, Shayla and Julia I believe, were fantastic. The stories they told about the Chef and why he chose each course was wonderful. Five sta... read more

Really great food! Incredibly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The staff was friendly and highly knowledgeable about the cuisine. Have to recommend the Short Stack and the Ribeye steak.

We had our five year anniversary dinner here and it was lovely! It may be a small tucked away place, but the food and service was upscale and the environment intimate.

This place was awesome. My wife and I planned a date night somewhere else but did not want to 2.5-3hrs for a table. We made reservations that night for 8:15 and were seated early because one wanted to be seated by the bar. The bar area was very just like the rest of the place. We had the calamari for an appetizer and they were super fresh and not rubber in feeling like in some place. My wife has a steak with lobster topping and I had prime rib. Both were extremely tasty one the best steaks we've ever had. The only drawback w... read more

We came in for Sunday lunch (12:30ish) and it was busy, but not overly busy. I found it a bit odd that they were only serving items off the Brunch and Dinner menus, but not the lunch menu. Regardless, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Good recommend.

Business response:

Good morning Norbert! We really appreciate the feedback and apologize the server did not inform you that you were able to still order off the lunch menu even during brunch. We are in the process of editing our menus to the correct wording "Lunch is available Monday-Sunday 11am-3pm"
