I was a bit perplexed on how to rate this place. What I can say is that the food is the least of the several great things about it. First. LOCATION! Can't beat the beachfront bar. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. Our dog got a bowl of water first thing. The beer is ice cold. Now the food. Day 1 I had a burger. Decidedly average. Day 2 fish tacos. A bit better but still just fair. I gave the place 4 stars because it's a fun place to hang out, drink and snack. Just don't expect anything more than average bar food.
This is my favorite bar in Hilton Head! The food is wonderful, especially the fish tacos. The service is so friendly and efficient, and specially Michael! He plays the best music! I love this place!
Not good. Walked up at 8:01 Pm and said they were done for night. Pretty trash in a touris hot spot before it is even dark. Won't spend my money there ever again!!!! Get there before grandma and grandpa go to bed!!!!! Wow!!!!

Hello Steve. We certainly apologize that we could not accommodate you, but our hours are 11am-8pm this time of year for multiple reasons. Weather also effects this at times and causes us to shut down early, but not sure if that was the case during your visit. In any case, we are sorry for any inconvenience that we may have caused you.
Heads up. Outsiders not welcome. Upon attempting driving to the Dunes House, I was abruptly stopped by the sea pines gate keeper and told it is "for residents only". The food may be great, the service unmatched, the ambiance soothing, but this cat will never know, and unless you are staying in a Palmetto Dunes place, neither will you.

Hello Dave. You can stop by the Welcome Center to receive a pass to enter the North Gate in Palmetto Dunes if you say that you are going to dine at the Dunes House. Yes, the restaurant is located beyond a security gate, but that is mainly to offer the residence privacy and also to keep guests from utilizing the limited spaces for beach parking. We apologize for the inconvenience that this caused, but hopefully you give it another shot.
Unfortunately, this restaurant is only open to certain people that live nearby. So, although it is listed as a restaurant open to anyone, that is not correct. It is private use only. So I was not able to enjoy the food or even get as far as the restaurant parking lot, lol.
Great atmosphere and ambience definitely come here for the fun and great weight staff but food's pretty decent

Sitting outside with the beach as my backdrop eating good food and sipping on a refreshing strawberry lemonade makes a spectacular day for me. Service is great
