Its annoying paying a$266 bill and being rushed out even tho there where other available tables. Black owned restaurants need to do better
The food quality was the absolute worst. I had the Diablo Shrimp Pasta and there was a pool of grease at the bottom of the dish. My date had goat meat that was all gristle and bones. When we expressed our concerns, the waitress simply said “I’m sorry, here is your check.” Also, the regular water was un drinkable and we were forced to order bottled Fiji Water that was $5 a bottle. This was a very bad experience.
Food was ok nothing spectacular. I've had better. Had jerk chicken with coconut rice and oxtails with coconut rice. Chicken was dry and the oxtails were really small but tasted good. No meat on the bones. Coconut rice was pretty good. Also got buffalo wings and fries for appetizer and it wasn't good. Fries were hard and tasted frozen and chicken tasted frozen as well. Music was good, restaurant is really nice and service was good. They also charge $20 gratuity and it was only two of us. Ticket ended up being $170 for an appe... read more
Slow service, great ambiance, and food is disappointing. This is supposed to be an African restaurant, but the African foods are not seasoned accordingly. Very bland. Definitely overpriced for the quality of food served.
My sister-in-law was visiting from the UK, and I wanted to take her to a nice place that served cultural food. We made a reservation and sat down, only to be told they were serving only catfish and wings with French fries. Our reservation was for 6:15, but we didn’t arrive until 6:45. They still chose to seat us, but I wish they had informed us at the front door or via email that their menu was limited. We went on the evening of Sunday, October 27, so there was no happy hour. The wings were $18 for only 4 to 6 pieces, which ... read more
The aesthetics of the restaurant was beautiful. The food lacked flavor & when we were asked about the taste of the food we were honest & the lady (whom we assume was the owner/manager) stated she had just tasted it earlier in the day & thought it was fine. I went with a party of 10 & of the 10 people not one of us liked our meals. The drinks were awesome. The service was slow & the food took forever to come out. We could not get a simple service such as water for everyone filled the entire 2 hours we were there. Even a to go... read more
Terrible experience. Made a reservation and food was so delayed. Some of my party didn’t get their food. I would not recommend.
Booked my birthday brunch here. Upon arrival we viewed the menu. Once we began to order we were told the price of the oxtail was different from that on the menu. Which should be noted on the site or prior to ordering. We then waited 30 minutes for a chicken and pancake plate and oxtail and grits. The pancakes were cold and tenders that look like scraps once we actually received it. The oxtail was pretty good but the grits were cold and stiff. Service could have been better considering she only had two tables.
It was a terrible experience. The music was extremely loud disrespectful and vulgar. The DJ played club” music that constantly shouted out the words p***y, A**, and d**k during brunch . We left before the food !
