Nice easy going place. Food tasty and many different offerings.
Attended a fund raiser on 2/19 an figured we would try it for dinner. Enjoyed our evening and look forward to returning in summer....maybe by boat!
This is the second time we are at The Oar..service was good both times..the second time we went to dinner...14 oz she'll steak marinated was tasty the potato croquet was good but frozen Brussels sprouts disappointing...only homemade dessert is the bread pudding which is good...well made cocktails nice water view...great lunch specials...tuna salad was fabulous...clams casino was bacon on top of little necks..nothing to write home about...the seafood bisque was very good as well as a crab chowder with corn...fried calamari wa... read more
We took our 17 year old daughter here for dinner the night before she left for Europe along with her friend and our family. The food is delicious- the atmosphere is very nice and the owner/manager walked around and greeted everyone to make sure everything was great! I've been here with my Zumba Girl friends for lunch and that was just as wonderful! The restaurant is on the water down a residential street! Look for a Groupon to use- that's what we did and saved about $70
Food was good with nice sized portions for restaurant week. The only downside was we sat for 10 minutes without anyone coming to the table. Desserts were lackluster
service was excellent and food was wonderful as well!! Went with my daughter and we had a great time
First time there and won't be the last. Definitely a place to enjoy a great dinner and some drinks all year round however the summer is the time to go as it's location is on the water. Our waitress was a gem and so no rushing us to eat and run. As I stated, the food we had there were no complaints, only compliments to the chef there.
The food is delicious and service is a superb. It is one of our favorite restaurants.
