Since 1986, The Oar has been dedicated to bringing you fresh and delicious seafood. Our staff is accommodating and friendly, and their service is sharp and always pleasing to our customers. We take a lot of pride in satisfying all of our guests. The Oar offers beautiful scenery and provides a fun entertaining atmosphere. Had a very nice supper with friends. Food was very good with very generous portion sizes. Service was very good. It was very noisy. We were seated (4 of us) in a room where there was a large birthday celebration the table next to us. It was difficult at times to hear our conversation.
The waiter was very helpful helping my wife to pick out something on the menu that was gulten free. The specials were also great.
Went to dinner with my wife. She had the lobster it was delicious! I had the stripe bass also was very good!!

Whenever I am on Long Island I always visit The Oar. Never disappointed. I will be back.

Not sure if our waitress was new, but we rarely saw her once she took our order. I had to ask for her. The food was not at all as good as expected from reading some reviews. The lobster club had a couple of pieces of bacon between 2 slices of toast. The Cuban sandwich looked like I could have made it in my kitchen. The only saving grace was the location by the water and the company we were with. Overall, expensive for quality and quantity of food. Appetizers were good, though.
The service and quality of food was very good. Definitely a restaurant where I would be a repeat customer.
