As always, the Oar was the best choice for my niece's graduation celebration. We always go in the summer when the bands are playing to have a great time and great food, but winter time is special at the Oar also because they can be alot more attentive to you, which they were. My niece couldn't thank me enough for leading her here for the first time and she plans on coming back again and again. Thank you Oar for making our celebration special and as usual the food was fantastic!
Great 1/2 price apps on Saturdays. other specials on different days. Seafood very good. Enjoy the casual atmosphere and friendly staff Abby was great.
Had a great time. Live music great. Table seating could have been better. We were in a hi traffic area. Only negative of the whole dining experience. I especially favored the Tiramisu. Don't change it. Service second to none. Thanks so much.
Excellent food but sitting in front of glass doors to the outside it was freezing. I mentioned it to maitre d who said she would put on the heat but she never did. I sat the entire night with my winter coat on
Love this place. Food is always good but maybe a bit overpriced. Outdoor seating in the summer, so not so big in the winter. Music from the bar area was a little loud where we sat but not overpowering. Service was excellent.
This was our first visit to the Oar Steak and Seafood in Patchogue. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. It is a generally older crowd with an adjacent bar...so it was friendly, but.....lets say hearty. I would definitely recommend this place. I have tried to try this restaurant several times but it is always packed w people, so be prepared to come and have a drink @ the bar while waiting.
Food and service were exceptional. One of the best steaks I ever had. Chilean sea bass with wasabi mashed potatoes was spectacular. Strong beer selection and an out of the ordinary wine list. A bit noisy, but that's the only negative. Can't wait for summer so we can dine outside on the water
Good food. Nice setting. Excellent service. We happened to go Restaurant Week, so while we could have ordered from the main menu, the special menu proved fine. Our appetizers were a bacon-wrapped scallop, with just a touch of heat--very good, and a burrata salad-- excellent cheese, firm outer shell, creamy inside, with flavorful garden supplements. We dined last Saturday evening and were pleasantly surprised that it was Restaurant Week. The Oak Steak and Seafood Grill offered an amazing menu for Restaurant Week. All four of us enjoyed our dinner and our time at the restaurant immensely. Thanks for a great night out!!
