Just an all around nice, relaxing place to dine or just meet and have a few drinks.
I have eaten at the Oars several times,the specials(stuffed chicken with egg plant,cheese etc)were outstanding.The noise took away an otherwise lovely evening..what happened to the "singer'and soft music?The doors lacked shades to block the "sun',needed to change seating.Other customers had similar complaint.Will return as a steady customer.
Great place for an outdoor lunch. The clams and oysters were excellent, as were the lobster dumplings. The swordfish sandwich was outstanding - tender, juicy. The atmosphere was perfect and very relaxing. The wine list had many reasonable alternatives but was not extensive.
Had another great meal. The oar burger delicious, the coconut shrimp was great .the salads are fresh. The wait staff is great..
We enjoyed the view, the food, and our service was superior.

The day we went the weather was overcast with a threat of rain, still out experience was very good. Friendly service..excellent food...
Dining at the Oar is always a wonderful experience. The service is exceptional along with the quality of food.
Have been to this place a few times now and I'm never disappointed. Weekends, if the weather is nice reservations are a must.
