Excellent food, but not the place for a quiet dinner on a Friday night. Check for live music if looking for a quiet dinner. Will definitely go back, but on a night w/o live music.
I have eaten here for lunch on the deck overlooking the water numerous times when I worked in Patchogue and have always enjoyed myself. I went for dinner for the first time this past weekend. The food was amazing! There were four of us total and days later we were still texting eachother about the great dinner we had!
One of our favorite for years. Seems though the prices are getting out of hand..

I have been coming to the oar for as long as I can remember. But one thing I noticed the pricing has gotten crazy. They are starting to over price themselves.. $14.00 for an oar burger. Really.
The food and service is ALWAYS top notch...never disappointing!
The food is excellent, the Chilean Sea Bass dish is so tasty along with the steaks. The service is wonderful and ambiance is nice. We love the view sitting by the windows. It is a nice place to take my parents as we always have a wonderful time. I love the way everything is served, very classy. Salads are delicious. Also, the specialty drinks are great.
