We take a lot of pride in satisfying all of our guests. The Oar offers beautiful scenery and provides a fun entertaining atmosphere. Always one of our favorites..
The Oar has quickly become our "go to place" for a good meal and an enjoyable night out. The selection of food is varied, portions plentiful and attractively presented. We especially appreciate the use of fresh vegetables on entrees (too many places use frozen vegetables). The specials are eclectic, and the kitchen is always accommodating about customizing dishes to the individual palate. We had a good time at the Oar, good place to visit during the warm weather season. Sea food platter was outstanding and so was the steak. Prices where reasonable for both food and drinks. Staff works very hard serving many tables, so sometimes the service is not as fast as we would like.
i always love to go to the Oar House. It has lovely water views, good food, friendly service. Personally i would be careful of the Saturday nights when the loud rock music tempers the mood. Otherwise it is great.
You would think that in the most busiest time of the year, when the restaurant was the most crowded, that the food Quality would diminish. If anything, this had to be the most amazing meal we Enjoyed so far at the Oar. All of our friends who went with us have not stopped raving about It. Everything from the drinks, appetizers, dinner and yes we endulged in dessert, (and it was worth the extra half hour on the treadmill), was over the top. Couldn't have been better. Thanks for A great meal and great time. We'll be back!
Great Service, beautiful atmosphere, good food - This was the first time I had been to the Oar this summer and we met friends on a quiet Tuesday Night. Lobster Special was great and it was not crowded! Staff was wonderful from the batender to the Hotess to the waiters! Can't wait to come back - Midweek is a pleasure and you can really see how lovely the place is. Beautiful night on the water at The Oar!

food was real good.....there were about 20 of us coming at different times to listen to band and eat and drink...they would not let us stay at the table past 2 hours..too bad 20 people eat and drink a lot so we just listened to the band and only 3 people bought food and one drink a piece ....not a good idea if you are interested in making money...their loss
Food and service was once again terrific. Unfortunately we were seated outside on a very hot and humid night. Adding some fans would be a nice touch.
