We split a Arugula Salad that was very fresh along with very crispy but tender inside Fried Calamari. The Sea Bass over mash potatoes was good and I had the Ossobucco that was done perfect. My daughter loved the Oar burger and Oar fries and for desert we loved the carrot cake and chocolate cookie desert. Dan provided fine service and never once rushed us. Asked for a non spicy bloody mary, it was filled with horseradish. Wouldn't want to sit in that back room. Food okay, not as flavorful as last time we visited. Will try it again though.
Overall would have to say everything was great. We were sitted immediately and food and drink were brought out in a timely manner. Was a little bit noisey, but the great food more than made up for that.
This was my second time at the restaurant in one week. This particular time it was during Restaurant Week and the menu was limited. However, everything on the menu looked delicious. I had cous cous and quinoa with cod and it was amazing. So light and tasty and filling. For starter I had an asian salad with ginger. The portion was just perfect and so fresh and tasty. The ending was to die for....banana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. So simple sounding but so scrumptious!
This was a visit dyring restaurant week and the menu did not skimp even though the cost at $25 for three courses was extremely reasonable.Our appetizers of escargots and oysters three way were both very flavorful and well prepared. Food very good but unfortunately we had to wait quite a while to order aand recieve food. Service was good but I think they just do not have enough people working.Water glasses needed to be refilled, also waited quite a while for that to occur.
