Our tour at The Shores at Clearlake was really good. They seemed equivalent to the place we chose and are happy with. Location was the determining factor for our decision.

The new director, [name removed], has made a world of difference in this facility. My mom was the third resident to come into the facility when it was first built 4 years ago. The place went down hill real fast shortly thereafter but turned around once the new management company and director arrived. The food has improved. They have hired caring staff that respond to call buttons with 10-15 minutes. The facility is clean. Activities are varied and enjoyed. We had a virtual visit at The Shores at Clearlake, and I didn’t particularly like the person who gave the tour. The facility setup was very odd, and I didn't like the rooms. They felt very cramped and old. Also, there were no in-room bathrooms. They were all shared, which was a hard no for us.

We toured a few places for our mom and this one stood out because of the feeling when we walked in. They were warm and welcoming and there were people around that looked happy and smiling. We liked that’s it’s all on one floor and there were activities going on in the Memory care section which mom will enjoy

We toured 3 places for my wife and this was the best. She loves her caregivers and I know she is in good hands with the Director who oversees that everyone is treated well
