It's toner. What more can I say? It is what it is. The toner works great and yields crisp images every time. I'm not sure if it is just my printer or all Brothers but some genius got the idea that when your printer says the toner cartridge is empty YOU'RE DONE. The old trick of taking the cartridge out and shaking it to get a few hundred more pages doesn't work on this crafty devil. As far as "high yield" it does produce significantly more pages than the standard version. Any way you cut it this stuff is expensive!
Not OEM What I received was a non OEM refilled cartridge. The first 2 test pages were smudged, but the third came out ok. The only reason I am keeping it is because I need a cartridge now. Past experience with refills for me has not been good, so I always now order new OEM cartridges.
Nothing like the real thing I tried generic toner and very poor results. Streaking, lines, uneven. Thought my machine was going bad until I switched back to Brother and print quality was back to 100%. That is not to say there are not good generics, but they are not branded so who knows how to find them. Maybe I am the only one who got miserable results. There is leak on this product. The black power appeared on one side of cartridge. I wiped it out and printed a couple of pages, then the black powder come out again. I need to exchange it or return it.
Does what it should do ... I've never had good luck with so-called "compatible" cartridges, so I always stick with OEM. Yes, it costs a little more, but so far, I've always been happy with the OEM products. This is no different. Came as promised. Works as promised. No issues. Helpful hint: When the "toner" signal comes on, or "replace toner; end of useful life" comes on, if your print quality is acceptable, you can still use the cartridge for maybe 2-3 more months. Not as good as before I have ordered this toner cartridge in the past without any issues but this time the envelope containing the cartridge was full of toner powder. While the cartridge works it does sometime leave smudges on the page especially near the top edge. I have cleaned everything thoroughly and even replaced the drum but the smudges remain. My guess is that the cartridge is defective or damaged. I believe this came from a secondary vendor for Amazon who I would not recommend.
It prints Ever had the toner refills explode all over the desk and you lap, even though you were striving to be careful? Me too. I don't buy refill kits, it's not worth the messy risk to me. Ever had the third party toner cartridge print unevenly or leak in you printer? Me too. I don't buy refilled third party cartridges because when I need something printed, I need a quality print, not problems. I like something that will not make a mess and will work every time I need it. I buy these cartridges.
Disappointed I was disappointed because I thought I was purchasing a new product but when the item arrived it appeared to have been either reconditioned item or refubursed toner cartridge. The product works fine but I am not sure I got what I thought I was paying for.
Brother Hi Yield Toner Cartridge I have found, through experience, that manufacturers' toner cartridges tend to work better than "equivalent" cartridges. The Brother TN360 cartridge just snaps in place and starts working right out of the box. There is minimal smearing of the first page or two when the cartridge is installed according to the directions.
