Black vertical lines I am not sure how to rate this product. Is there an upset button? I purchased it at the end of Dec 2011 and installed it just a few days ago. After 2 weeks of printing the pages started coming out with a thick vertical black line on the right side of all the pages following the first clean page.. Never happened before. I had this printed since October 2010 and it's too early to consider it worn out.. Did anyone have such experience? Never again We learned a final lesson, the Brother toner simply does not supply enough to justify its cost, even when lower-priced. The HPs and Canon ink carts yield true HIGH amounts of toner and we just can't afford to go "inexpensive" again.
Appears to be OEM unit, but doesn't work well I replaced my toner cartridge about a month ago, within a couple weeks this unit leaves streaks and blotches on printouts. I cleaned unit and reinstalled, no luck. I have my old Brother cartridge that I have been meaning to send in to recycle but haven't yet. I tried installing that one even though it is low on toner just to see if streaks and smudges are still there. Solved the problem. OEM? Cartridge streaks on one side I am hoping my last order was a fluke as I only want OEM. The last order streaks on one side as if it is a refill & not OEM. Please only send OEM when advertisment says OEM.
Not as advertised This was marketed as a genuine Brother toner cartridge, but arrived in bubble-type packaging without any markings to indicate that it was genuine. I gave it two stars because I just installed it and am not sure how it will work.
Maybe I got a dud, BUT.. I ordered this OEM high yield toner cartridge when I ordered my printer. Granted, nearly a year has passed but the printer says low toner on the day I put it in. I've kept it unopened and in the AC. Guess I learned a valuable and expensive lesson about ordering toner ahead of time from Amazon.
Brother TN360 toner cartridge By buying a new and Brother-made cartridge, I never experience any problems with the print quality of my documents. It's worth it for the extra few dollars.
Works as expected Since this is from the original equipment manufacturer, I expected to work well and it does. It is a bit pricy compared to "compatible" products. I might have saved some money by getting my old toner cartridge refilled. But I wanted to avoid the hassel. One thing consumers should know about is the "masking tape trick." Bob Worth buying the manufacturers product but I so wish the printer used up all the ink before the failure signal and default stop activated, such a waste.
