Ran out in record time ! I ordered 3 as I always do for office which always last 2-3 months each. This came in in brown Laser Toner box, not normal Brother packaging so knew immed this was a "fake" even though nothing on Amazon.com detail page indicated it was not an original. NOT OFFICIAL BROTHER TONER This is a knock off toner cartrige. I found the advertisment for this product to be misleading, as well as the image shown is not identical to the product shipped. I have not used the cartrige long enough to review it, being it's a knock off.. my hopes are not high.

Buyers Beware I was expecting to get OEM Brother Cartridges. It should have said Brother "compatible" cartridges in the item short description(name) if it was a remanufacture, not hidden further down in the technical details that I didn't notice. I did not want remanufactured cartridges. I am very disappointed that Amazon does not monitor people that sell in the marketplace better. NOT GENUINE BROTHER TONER! DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING! I have been ordering genuine Brother toner from Amazon for quite a while. This toner is shown as "BY BROTHER". Nowhere does it say that this is not from Brother. Shame on Amazon for allowing this deceptive advertising. It should be made very clear in the heading of the ad that this is a generic brand and not OEM!
Cartridge Cartridge installation very simple. No smears. Print quality of Brother 7840 could be more precise. Not as good as my old HP Laser printer.
Brother tn360 hi yield black toner cartridge item was received promptly and easily installed it's too early to rate longevity, altho some say this cartridge does not give as many prints as claimed brother is to be congratulated for including a paid label to return the empty cartridge for recycling! corporate responsibility!

Don't believe your printer! I love my brother laser printer, and the toner lasts a very long time. In fact, the toner lasts far longer than the printer would have you believe. A few months ago, I ordered a new toner cartridge because the "toner" light on the printer came on and, once that happens, you cannot print anything. When this happens, cover the two holes on the sides of the toner cartridge with either masking tape or duct tape (scotch tape won't work).
