Always a wonderful place for dinner before or after Carnegie hall event. Exceptional sevice, friendly and efficient. Decent wine list at good prices, esp by the glass. The food has always been excellent with great classics such as the buffalo caprese salad, Artichokes alla giudia and bronzino.

Always a good meal. Started off with Jerusalem artichokes, soup and ceaser salad. Delicious! Dover sole is the best in town, as well as their lasagna and burrata ravioli. Dessert was lemon pie- out of sight!! The only thing to keep in mind, is it is VERY loud, it wouldn't be my first choice with a large party. Upstairs seating has a low ceiling, so it is loud!

Good place to bring kids for pizza. The prosciutto was delicious.

We selected trattoria del Arte because of their location near Carnegie Hall. The food was solid and tasty. Prices are high, but expected because of proximity to Carnegie. Wine list was a disappointment. Not very extensive and after first pour our waiter never refilled glasses. Server was very inattentive and forgetful. Bottom line , great location, good food, poor wine service and weak service.

Good food, but service is spotty. Restaurant is very busy between 6-8pm, pre curtain dining. If you are in a middle table, you can be forgotten by the waiters and forced to wave for water, wine and bill. Great for sharing plates though. Portions are robust for splitting and this makes the check reasonable. The Antipasto and other appetizer offerings are terrific. Do not miss the fried Roman artichokes nor the vegetarian osso bucco made with portabello mushrooms. Yummy. Had the lasagna and it was delicious, but a little salty... read more

My friend and I were in NYC to run a half marathon. We went to La Trattoria for dinner. OMG! The most amazing service and food was out of this world. Thank you to Brandon Fay and your staff especially Jonathan our server. You are all FANFREAKINTASTIC!

Good food. Good service. A little pricey, but what do you expect midtown!

We have been frequently dining at this restaurant for over 15 years. The quality of the food is consistently outstanding. The wine list is also impressive with many offerings under $100. The only negative is very busy and the noise level can be a bit overbearing at times. Overall dont miss this place .
