Good Italian meal in NYC. Priced fairly for the portion. Great Wine list, good Martini. Service was good, server recommended a wine that was perfect. Busy Busy place, but worth it.

My group of 6 was stuck in traffic coming in to the city and we were going to be about 30 minutes late for our 6:15 dinner reservation. The hostess couldn't have been any nicer over the phone when we told her we would be late and once we arrived they seated us right away so we could eat and get to our 8:00 show at Carnegie Hall. The restaurant was absolutely filled when we arrived but they never gave away our table and took excellent care of us. Did I mention that the food was also great! I will definitely be back.

I asked for a quiet table on Open Table and we were seated in a perfect little alcove. Our server was attentive and helpful. We did not want to rush even though we had concert tickets. It was well timed. The bread was crusty and chewy, very delicious. We selected the buratta and 3 apps. All of them were vegetables were seasoned nicely and not overcooked. We enjoyed the paper thin crust and sauce which was very flavorful. Cappucinno and cannolis completed a wonderful dinner.

Trattoria del Arte, is a no level restaurant. Noise level loud due to pre theater crowd. Suggest dining 7:30 Or later. Pizza was light as a feather and delicious, we had it as an appetizer. The risotto was creamy, tasty. Our friends had chicken, veal, liver dishes, all well prepared, delicious.

We were first shown a table for two in a hallway which I rejected. They then brought us upstairs and we sat beneath a window that they use to call or signal each other. There was so much traffic going by our table that it was unpleasant. It was also VERY busy. Yes it was before a concert but that's not unusual for the location. The food was good. Large portions.

Good choice while in the city. Good selection from small plates to full meals. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Both our meals were satisfying.
