Food was great and high quality. The place is too crowded and noisy. Overall service was good, but a couple of servents were not friendly.
Our waitress was very professional and maintained contact with us throughout the meal. At the end of our meal my wife mentioned that her snapper entree was missing caper berries and the waitress said she would mention it to the chef. Moments later she returned and said we were correct and left small glasses of prosecco with us as an apology.
Always wonderful pasta and entrees. Appetizer bar -- can't resist the eggplant caponata! And the surprise hot out of the oven cookies are a treat!
We originally scheduled it as a dinner before attending the opera later that night. But 2 out of 4 in our party got sick and could not attend but the restaurant kindly reschedule it earlier to accommodate just the 2 of us so we do not have to rush out before the opera. We chose this place because of its location close to the Lincoln center and its diverse menu including many vegetable antipasto plates. Have only eaten there for lunch, but the pizza was the best thin crust I have ever had. The chopped salad was fabulous. The wait staff was very friendly, just a bit slow, although we were not rushing so it was fine. I look forward to returning for dinner!
It was crowded and loud, but it seemed authentically NYC and Italian. I'd count it as an experience in and of the city. The food was ok, too.
We eat here every time we’re in NYC and have never been disappointed. Love everything on the menu and the service is exceptional!
We attended the Downton Abbey exhibit, this was a perfect spot as it is around the corner. Lunch special is a good deal, my friends were more than satisfied with the branzino and burrata ravioli. I ordered the fennel sausage and roaster pepper pizza, it came out cold but was huge. I've had better pizza, The shock came when we ordered dessert and received the bill. The dessert tray was brought to us with no mention of prices. $11/single canoli that was not that large and $16 for a Tartufo. RIDICULOUS costs even for NYC!
As always our experience was a positive one. The food is always delicious, and I particularly enjoy the vegetable antipasto choices. This particular time our waiter was all things an excellent waiter should be, and funny too.
