What a greeting! The food was lovely (still thinking about the fries) and the server was awesome. I was by myself, and still got tremendous, friendly attention, good insight on the menu and excellent wine advice. A really nice meal!
Maitre d' welcomed us as if we were long lost friends. Gave us a wonderful table (a 4-seater for only 2 people). Server and her assistants were extremely attentive, prompt and pleasant. Our food was wonderful. It was best place we ate in Manhattan.
There are a lot of restaurants from which to choose in NY, but the service and food was so superior at Trattoria Dell'Arte that if you are looking for a wonderful place to dine, look no further. I held a small luncheon for a bride-to-be there this past Saturday, and the restaurant could not have been more accommodating. Our server Tad was perfect and we were even treated to a bottle of Prosecco for the occasion. I highly recommend the chicken parmesan -- an epic portion, and their antipasto bar offers a variety of delicious ... read more
We have been to this Trattoria Del'Art a few times over the years and have always found it delightful. The anti-pasta bar is favorite of ours and the staff is always friendly, helpful and professional.
We've been coming to this restaurant for years and still find it a pleasurable experience. We started coming before performances at Carnegie Hall, across the street, but now come out of our way just to enjoy the food, service and ambiance. We meet friends from out-of-town here and invariably they want to come back again! The pizza is delicious - thin crust and wonderful toppings that change constantly. The pastas are all home made and the sauces are wonderful. The veal is huge, very thin and very tasty. Just save room for de... read more
Stunning restaurant, impeccable, friendly service, outrageous cuisine. First class, top notch, NYC fine dining. Must go.
Dined here 21 years ago for our 20 th Anniversary and last week for our 41st. We were warmly welcomed every step of the way. Proseco given gratis to all who entered. The restaurant was extremely busy but everyone was given warm welcome and treated like they were special. The food was tremendous! Colourful, fresh, delicious! Best meal we've had since we left home a week ago! The waiters were just hopping but you could tell they loved their jobs and got a thrill from it all! It was awesome! I'd give it ten stars if I could!
We all had the ravioli and the veal chop That sounds simple enough but the interpretation of those dishes was truly other-worldly. The sauce, spices, herbs and textures were so exquisitely balanced and satisfying that we each faded into our own gastronomic universe, alone together uttering an occasional "OMG! " or" the best I've had anywhere" or " mmmmmm". Thanks to our amazing waiter our meal full of adventure and fun.
As usual, the food was very good. The Veal Chop Parmesan is a draw and still awesome. I have never had such a large plateful. It is a must and you have to share it or take 2/3's home. The antipasto options were pretty good but the reverse of the veal, they were very small portions. Our waiter treated us like we barely existed. We got a drink spilled on us by his assistant and he first inquired whether it was the waiter or us who were at fault. He did not take any more care of us after the spill. He left us unattended for ext... read more
