Trattoria has been a favorite for many years, and it rarely disappoints. Brought an out-of-town friend who loved everything about it...the festive atmosphere, the fresh, yummy food, good, well-priced wine, and attentive, fun service. I try to get there every time I visit NYC. So, what does that tell you?

Always a great experience. The food is excellent and the staff is so warm and friendly. They make you feel like family. Just to mention a few items from the antipasto bar you must try. Eggplant, cauliflower, zucchini parm and mushrooms. (So many to choose from) Pizza and veal parm delicious.

I ordered the scallops and found it to be superb. The antipasto plate has been consistently good over a few visits. However, my friend ordered the spaghetti with clam sauce which was so al dente as to be stiff and inedible. He is the kind of person not to send something back, but it really should not have been brought to the table. I was surprised because I've eaten at Trattoria before. Another odd dish I recommend you avoid is the octopus appetizer. Normally a hit, they drenched it in very salty tomato sauce.

We've been coming to NYC regularly for years and staying nearby but this was the first time we tried Trattoria Dell'Arte. It was truly fabulous. Our waiter was terrific. The prices are a bit high for me but the value was definitely there. Some servings were very very large. Altogether and enjoyable dinner - highly recommended.

Food is conventional but very good. Service was really good. We had a pre Carnegie Hall concert dinner here and it was perfect.

We love the selection of vegetables offered. The liver is a must have. Our choice any time we are close by in NYC

I have always liked this place, especially for lunch antipasto bar. The main floor buzzes with high ceilings. We were seated upstairs - extremely low ceiling, half empty. Felt like being sent to the kids' table and no way of knowing you were in New York. This area should only be used for walkups who agree to it or large group events.

My husband and I went in the Trattoria dell'arte for dinner because it looked so cute outside, and got 4 stars on all rating sites, so we thought it would be a good choice. The inside has got nothing to do with the outside. The place is massive, and a million table stuck to each other so you can hear all the conversations going on right next to you - no privacy at all. We weren't given a minute to make our choice, and although the food came quickly, and it was good enough, it was really nothing special at all. not worth the ... read more
