We come a lot to this restaurant due to its location. It does traditional Italian well and wait staff are friendly and competent, if not a bit harried at times. Again, one of our parties entrée was cold on the inside. The wait staff addressed it promptly (which is nice) but it has happened before. Large portions for entrees which can be easily shared between 2 people. Lasagne was great.
The trattoria has exactly what I look for when going to Carnegie Hall for a concert later in the evening; good food, good service, and a festive atmosphere.
The assorted vegetable starter, the Bronzino and the tartuffo along with the seafood pappardelle and the ribollito ordered by my husband made for a great meal. A half carafe of Montipulciano was flavorful. The glass of Prosecco offered at the end was a lovely way to end the meal As this was not our experience with the restaurant, we can attest to its consistency ...a friendly welcome, a friendly and competent wait staff and always excellent food.
This is a realy gem across from Carnegie Hall. We were welcomed like old friends, had incredible attention and superb service. The food was exceptional and we have already recommended the restaurant to a number of people. We certainly will go back as well. Congratulations on a superbly run restaurant!
great menu and specialty of veal dishes. Our waitress Amy was wonderful and very helpful about what is recommended on the menu. It is quite loud but very friendly and energetic atmosphere. The artwork on the walls is really interesting and I wanted to take it home. The desserts were small but delicious. I would definitely go there again and bring friends or celebrate a birthday or occasion there. It is a lot of fun.
After an afternoon performance of "Wicked" my daughter and I selected this restuarant for dinner. It was within walking distance and the moment I walked in I new I chose the right place to eat. The staff was fabulous. The food and service was excellent. I would definetly return again.
The restaurant is in a great location. Had to wait a few minutes for the table to be ready as theatre goers were just leaving. Maitre dei has a great personality and a lot to juggle in such a busy reastaurant but we did not spend more than 5 minutes waiting for our table. Great service. True NYC ambience. The food was absolutely delicious with the menu offering something for everyone -- including vegetarian. Will definitely dine here again!
I've been dining at Trattoria Dell'Arte for many years and have never been disappointed. The veal parmesan is always to die for. We were celebrating my boyfriend's 40th birthday on this trip to NYC and the staff at Trattoria Dell'Arte made it very special! We had a great booth, the food was amazing, service was fabulous as always, and who doesn't love a sparkler on their birthday cake with a serenade from the general manager?!? Wonderful experience as always!
always a terrific experience with great food and friendly staff a must when in new york city
