Always good but very very crowded, at least pre theater. Perfect for Carnegie Hall event. Loved having an impeccable men's room, with an attendant. Says the kitchen probably was the same.

We originally dined here about tens years ago and not knowing my way around NY I have finally found it again. My husband and I went the first night and cancelled our reservations and sat at the antipasto bar the next night. The staff truly makes you feel like a long lost relative. We love it so muc!

I've lived in NYC for 30 years and dine out frequently. Our waiter for Saturday lunch at Trattoria Dell'Arte was the friendliest and funniest in all that time. We changed our reservation from 6 to 9 at the last minute - no problem. We arrived with a cranky 2 1/2 year old - no problem. Some of our party arrived 15 minutes late - no problem. Our waiter related to everyone from our toddler to her 80-year-old grandmother with equal charm and aplomb. He even provided one of the more memorably hammy (yet charming) renditions of "h... read more

Really enjoyed the experience. Never had a meal so quick though. Very slick the way they operate! Would def recommend it for a quick tasty bite and really handy for the theatre

We come a lot to this restaurant due to its location. It does traditional Italian well, although the last few times we've eaten here, one of our parties entrée was cold on the inside. The wait staff always addressed it (which is nice) but when happens repeatedly, it becomes a bit off-putting. We sat upstairs and the vibe was good and noise level reasonable. We did in a table for 6 in the middle of the room and one of the our party kept getting bumped into the back of her chair as wait staff walked past the table enroute with... read more

The food is amazing, especially the 100 layer lasagna! Our wait staff were smiling and unflappable even in a full restaurant. We love this restaurant so much we make a point of going whenever we are in New York.

We were there on a very crowded Saturday night in the city but the minute we arrived, we were welcomed warmly. In addition , when our entrees were a little late, our server brought out an array of appetizers ' on the house' to tide us over which was very generous. The only downside to this restaurant was that it was very hot for most of the meal until the air conditioner was turned on.

We had a very nice dinner before going to see Wicked. Food was very good, the antipasto bar lived up to the hype! Service was good up until dessert. We ordered dessert and sat for 15 minutes without a single visit from our waiter (can't remember his name) , and when he finally showed up with no dessert we had to tell him we no longer had time to eat our dessert. Our show started in 20 min...

One of their specialty dishes is a pounded "thin" double veal chop that is almost 12' in diameter, falling off the plate - excellent and the reason why I made the reservations. One dish is more than enough for two people ($50) which would leave room for one of their great appertizers.
