Pretty expensive for what you get. There's a lot of places in the city that are much better for a lot less. John's of 12th, for example. The food is decent, but not a great value. Likewise the service isn't unpleasant, but it is a bit rushed and haughty. I won't go back, given the better alternatives in and around NYC, but I think they survive on the tourist trade so it probably won't matter to their bottom line if they don't get a repeat customer.
Friendliest most accommodating staff at any restaurant I have ever been to. Food is excellent. Always reliable. Will be back again and again and again
I just love this place. Whenever I have something to celebrate, I want to celebrate at Trattoria Dell'Arte. I am especially enamored of the antipasti bar. Six selections and a half bottle of wine shared with a special person makes the perfect lunch/brunch experience for me. The food is exquisite and the service is warm and attentive. Add special little treats like warm prosciutto muffins - it's simply the best!
This is a trendy New York restaurant near Carnegie Hall with an attractive interior with murals by Milton Glazer. The clientele seems to be largely tourists going to theater and while the prices reflect the expectations of a fancy restaurant, the tables are closely packed and there is an atmosphere of rush so not a pleasant experience. Perhaps 8 PM dinner would be a better choice.
This was our second time dining at Trattoria Dell'Arte, and was just as pleasurable as the first. The entire staff is very gracious and friendly, service is outstanding, and the food is excellent. Instead of getting the antipasto , we got the beet and walnut goat cheese salad. While delicious, it was very small for the $15.00 price, and more arugula wouldn't have hurt! This however is my only complaint as our chicken pepperoni and parmigiana dinners were outstanding and so huge that we had to take some home. Ultimately, we h... read more
The staff at Trattoria Dell'Arte is always so welcoming and appreciative of our visit. The service is great and the food is outstanding!
The service was good but the Bronzini was very dry and over cooked, plus very expensive for $38 dollars.
Always a wonderful experience! The host and staff are so welcoming and the food never disappoints. We will definitely return.
Antipasto selections were fine. Bolognese ravioli pretty good. Red snapper incredibly dry, boring and not as advertised. Waitress could see there there was an issue but did everything to avoid us at that point. Too bad as we had enjoyed it, especially the wine cellar room, in the past. Lots of other better choices around Carnegie Hall.
