The perfection they demand in their food is evident throughout the meal. Don't miss this place if you are in the mood for authentic Italian. We were greeted with a handshake, which was a nice way to start our meal. We had started at 116th St. and worked our way down to the MOMA. We had not made any dinner reservations and found ourselves hungry after the MOMA closed. We stumbled upon this place using Open Table and it was AWESOME!! They make their own pasta. Their pizzas are cracker thin and delicious. The wait staff is so a... read more
The servers didn't pay too much attention to our table, although it was not very crowded. THe food is still very tasty. I am sure it was a one time ....mistake. We will not give up on you!
The food and service were amazing!
The 3 of us dined here before going across the street to see a concert at Carnegie Hall. Could not have asked for a better location, especially since it was a big downpour that night. Our evening started with a handshake from the maitre d. That was a pleasant surprise to be greeted so enthusiasticaly. It was a 5:45 reservation and the restaurant was already full! Had lunch here with a group of eight. It was fairly empty since it was the last work day before the July 4th holiday, but food was execllent and service went above and beyond.
For over 20 years, this Milton Glazier designed restaurant has held special appeal to New Yorkers and tourists. Reliable for food, service and ambiance. Capable of handling curtain-time sensitive parties and does not make an issue of most any request. Interesting that a French family who comes to NYC twice a year regards this Italian eatery as their favorite because of the breadth of menu [including quality pizza for children] and a first-rate wine list with knowledgeable serving staff. Eager to please, this restaurant has n... read more
Very nice staff, no problem to split meals, we felt welcome and all the waiters greeted us when we arrived. The best Italian pizza I have ever tasted (including in Italy). Very crisp and "italian" fresh taste.
The gracious staff make you feel right at home - and the food is unbeatable. I especially enjoyed the soft-shelled crabs.
Food was amazing! The snapper entree was spectacular and they will prepare any sauce of your choosing upon request! A definite return trip is on the horizon!
