This place is action packed and always fun-even when your table isn't ready when you arrive! Staff is very friendly, food is great and atmosphere is celebratory. Our waiter (it's the second time I've had him as a waiter) was so nice, and talked to us about Brooklyn so that we walked the bridge round trip the day after dinner!
Our reservations were for 10:30 for a large party and our table was ready for us, despite the fact that the restaurant was extremely busy. Our server was quite knowledgeable and funny, and paid just the right amount of attention to us. The food was incredibly good (I'm craving the house-made mozzarella as I write this) and served at a lovely pace that invited lively conversation rather than hurried eating. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go there again the next time I attend a performance at Carnegie. ... read more
Great food....especially the desserts
Our Thanksgiving dinner-not turkey was very nice. Our waiter was very honest in his recommendations of menu items. My wife was somewhat disappointed in the lasagna but I thought it was good-huge portion. Delicious risotto and tortufo for dessert.
Trattoria dell'Arte is one of my absolute favorite restaurants and I eat there every year the week of Thanksgiving. This year my wife and I had lunch there on Tuesday and then dinner on Friday. The veal parmesan was ridiculous and my wife had the burrata twice. The canolis are the best I have ever had.
This restaurant consistently delivers great food, great service and an atmosphere that makes for a noteworthy dining experience. Not the place to go for a quiet, contemplative dinner with an intimate because the energy level is high, but given its attributes, the restaurant provides an authentic New York City Italian dining outing with a menu that is very wide with lots of choices.
Great experience! Excellent service and warm hospitality! !
We've dined here on more than one occasion and it's always delightful. Trusted New Yorkers have even reaffirmed that it's a favorite among the natives. That says a lot. Service is always respectful and accommodating and the food is incredible all the way to the desserts (great canolis and amazing coffee!!) I highly recommend this gem !
A scenic delight from the minute you walk in. The 100 layer lasagna and the tordelli Bolognese were aromatic and visually stunning. The service was full without being intrusive. A pre-Carngie Hall meal (it's directly across 7th Ave) that left plenty of time for dessert (tartufo) and a post meal walk. I would recommend this restaurant every day of the week.
