Trattoria del Arte has a wonderful staff, very friendly, really appreciative. We had some excellent pizza and the 101 layer lasagna, which is also very, very tasty. It's a really enjoyable, traditional Italian restaurant in midtown.

Staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Food was very good. Service was a little long because they seemed overwhelmed with the quantity of customers. It was the night prior to the marathon.

This place is so reliable and so comfortable that I look forward to having a reason to go back! I love bringing out of town friends here because there is something for everyone and I always know that everyone will be well fed and very happy! The staff is consistently kind and friendly. I always feel like I'm an old friend coming back for a visit!

Basically found this since it was almost next door to my hotel. Turned out to be amazing with excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, a little pricey but not bad for a good restaurant in New York. Everything I ordered was excellent, and the wait staff went out of their way to be helpful.

After running the 2013 NYC marathon with my daughter we decided to make reservations at Trattoria dell'arte for our "victory" dinner. We were greeted so warmly when we walked in and were seated at a great table. Our server couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. We had the seafood risotto , 101 layer lasagna and roasted vegetable pizza. All were delicious. Our dinner was topped off with delicious desserts and our server added the extra bonus by putting sparklers on my daughter and my desserts. It was a great way to a... read more

I really didn't enjoy the dining experience here. The appetizer came out cold, then came out only luke warm. The entree was pretty good but nothing spectacular.

Tops for convenience--City Center, Carnegie Hall. Middling and inconsistent for food. Waiter on this visit was a delight, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Front desk was dreadful. Made one guest wait in line for 10 minutes even though she was certain her dining companion had arrived and was seated and waiting--as was indeed the case. When reported, maître d' made excuses, not apologies.

We had dinner here the night before the marathon. Both of us really enjoyed our entree and bread. Tried meatballs and they were fine, but not exceptional. Service staff works hard and fast but despite a reservation, we had to wait in a long line to get our table at the time of reservation. They fit a lot of people in there and we were sort of crammed in a table that had a lot of traffic around it and were jostled around quite a bit. Overall, good carb load meal before the race, which was the point. Just the logistics that we... read more
