This is one of our favorite restaurants in New York. The food is no nonsense great Italian food. No pretention! We were actually there for Valentine's Day and had a lovely table. We shared one of the vegetable antipasta dishes - all delicious! My husband ALWAYS gets the tuna - it is always perfect! I have the lobster risottos which had lobster, shrimp, mussels and scallops - delicious! Our waiter was super - unfortunately I forgot his name but he was super!!!!!

This last time we dined pre-theater and were stuck in the wine cellar, alone. Just me, my wife, and my parents for almost half the meal until finally one of the other tables in the room were occupied. It was silent when we weren't talking and very cold in there. Plus there's no background music! Made uncomfortable silences worse! If you ... read more

I just wish the bread wasn't so good. I judge a restaurant by many things, the bread is one. They put a lot of attention to that. The pizza was delish as were the veggies from the antipasti bar.
