Trattoria Dell'Arte has been around for EVER and even though we live in New York City (Manhattan) this was our first time back in at least 15 years. The decor is exactly as I remembered it. Indeed, it's a little dated. The food however was still excellent. Personally, I'd stay away from the veal parm (their "signature" dish) as anything so big is going to be junky - and it was. I go to NY twice a year. I have been eating at Trattoria every trip for the past 10 years. The veal parmigiana is just the best in the entire World. I call it the elephant ear !! A bucket list.
Trattoria Dell"Arte is one of my favorite restaurants. I usually go to it before Carnegie Hall. The food is aways good, the service excellent and the ambiance NYC. It did not disappoint.
It was particularly pleasant to dine early, before Carnegie Hall. Very friendly welcome from everyone, delicious dinner. It's always happy to go there for any meal of the day.

I've been coming to Trattoria Dell'Arte for years when I visit NYC. It is still one of my favorite restaurants in town. The scallops were superb!!
