Great pre-theater.. friendly and warm service. A gem
Not as good as it used to be, but still very solid!
Always reliable lively restaurant across from Carnegie Hall. We have gone there for many years before/after concerts and always look forward to our time there. Reliable for well made cocktails and the antipasti bar is delicious.
I have reviewed this restaurant before and it has gotten even better. Their specialalty appetizer of fried artichoke is still very tasty. The service was excellent and friendly. I recommend this place for anyone who has a concert at Carnegie Hall which is right across the street.
We were having dinner there before a show so we told our waiter that we would have to be out by a specific time. We didn't order appetizers so that we would not be rushed. The waiter kept checking back with us because our food was taking very long to come out of the kitchen. In the end we had only 20 minutes to eat our huge, delicious dishes. The waiter was very apologetic and sent over the manager. Two managers came to our table and offered their apologies and they removed 3 of our entrées from our bill. It was a bad situat... read more
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and a friend recommended that we try Trattoria Dell 'Arte and I have to say it was one of the best parts about our trip. When making the reseravation on Open Table, we indicated that we were celebrating our Anniversary. Once we showed up to the restaurant, we were greeted with big smiles and friendly attitudes. They allowed us to be seated early. As they sat us down, they served us a glass of champagne! The server was outstanding and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food wa... read more
Trattoria Dell'Arte has a very vibrant, almost "theatrical" feel to it, which makes sense given it's proximity to theatres just south of Central Park. The art deco interior and the colourful dinner ware and staff add to this ambiance. The food was also very good, and some of the portions were crazy big. Looking around at the patrons, it was very clear to me that Trattoria Dell'Arte is a local favourite and has a loyal following. I would have loved to have tried the chicken parm, but the portion (from what I saw on others' pl... read more
Busy and energetic at night, but good for a quiet Sunday brunch.
We were 2 couples having dinner before a Carnegie Hall concert. The location of the restaurant was ideal. We were impressed that our waitress asked us immediately if we were trying to catch a show. The host was also very warm and greeted us with a smile. We all enjoyed our food. Only issues is some of the entrees should include a vegetable or side to justify some of the higher prices. All in all though we enjoyed our time there.
