The food is really good. In general, it's a great place except it is TOO LOUD especially upstairs.
Was taken there by a friend and returned a week later. Had a great time and enjoyed everything. From the moment we walked in the front staff made us feel at home, the waiter was great! A woman walking around incredibly helpful possibly the sommelier). And the finishing touch a hot tray of cookies!!! Amazing:)
I go to Trattoria every time I'm in the city, whether before a show or just in the mood for some great Italian. The food is consistently high quality and the wait staff are terrific.
Very friendly staff and great welcome to our first night in New York. Recommend the caramelised fennel and the thin pizza base with roasted vegetables. Will come here again next visit to NY.
We were seated near the door which was grand central station at the start of the meal with people standing and waiting to be seated inches from our table. It was a good location for people watching if that is what you are looking for. We arrived ahead of our reservation and were seated quickly so we accepted the front table. After a while the traffic cleared and it was better. The waiter alternated between being very attentive and committed elsewhere. Have never been disappointed with the service or the meals. Would highly recommend.
Always a favorite and we eat here on a regular basis when we are in NY. Love to bring all our friends.
Excellent thin-crust pizza and antipasti selection. Avoid the upstairs - is a low-ceilinged mean tight space. Service not always very quick but then the food doesn't take too long.
Been coming to this restaurant for as long as it's been here. Always great food and service.
