My experience is always so fine that I plan another visit this week, and the convenience to our evening destination (at Carnegie Hall) can't be beat. The food and wine always please, also.
Directly across Seventh Avenue from Carnegie Hall, Dell'Arte is a favorite after concert restaurant for a late dinner. The experienced staff knows how to seat and serve a large number of arriving guests. Service is consistently good as is the food. Bustling with tasty food and nice wines by the glass. Even if one allows lots of time, it can be difficult to finish in time for a concert across the street.
We ate at Trattoria Dell'Arte while visiting New York. It was a recommendation from someone local, who obviously knows about food. My wife had the seafood risotto, while I had the soft-shell crab. Absolutely out of this world! and the waiting was outstanding. They were out of the wine we selected, so they brought us another of the same varietal that cost about $15 more, but only charged us the lower amount. I will definitely eat here again next time I'm in New York.

IT IS CONSISTENTLY DELICIOUS AND THE SERVICE IS ALWAYS EXCELLENT
I have been a patron of this restaurant since it opened. I've had so many good times and good meals here. The staff always makes me feel special, and the mood of this beautifully designed space is always festive.
The food was delicious, simple yet perfect. This was my third visit and I haven't been disappointed yet. Nice service and great waiter.
