Love it! We have eaten there everytime we come to NY, for 11 yrs now and never disappointed
love the art works. Try the Bellinis!
We made the reservations very late via the Menu Pages. We then ran late and yet they still accommodated us and offered friendly service and a great table despite the fact that they were packed. But the best part was the food. Because we were rather in a hurry to make a Broadway Show, we just requested our favorite Italian dishes without looking very hard at the menu. And voila. A good restaurant will always offer you what you want. The plates were awesome.
Having been to the restaurant on my previous visits to New York I selected it for my wife's 60 th Birthday lunch. I was not disappointed. The food was excellent everyone of our party could not praise it enough, and my wife was thrilled.
The veal parmesan can't be beat! This is a must-stop in New York if you like good food and big portions.
Good Italian, we had a great pizza. The decor was a bit over the top.
This restaurant across the street from Carnegie Hall has had its ups and downs over the years. It can be noisy, crowded and the service can be slow or worse, at times less than politely responsive. No major crowds; we ate comfortably and extremely well within the space of an hour (before we had to leave for our concert). I tried the lasagna - fresh-made with multiple layers of paper-thin sheets of pasta, delicious... read more
Food was good, service was terrible!! We sat upstairs, and the atmosphere is not nice. Low ceiling and noisy. Restaurant was not that crowded, and staff appeared to be overwhelmed. While we enjoyed the food, service was not up to par. The Appetizers were very good, but tiny portions. We were a party of six and there was an 18 percent gratuity charge. Service did not warrant the charge!!
My wife and I shared a pizza to start and both had delicious entrees before a show across the street at Carnegie Hall. Waiter was exceptional and so was the food. Well worth the price!
