Not our first time at this restaurant but probably our most disappointing. The food was excellent as usual but for the first time the service was not at all what we were used to. The waiter was unattentive, sarcastic and disdainful. We went from having one of our most memorable family dinners in January at this resaurant, to one of our most disappointing. What a difference a waiter makes.
A little European gem right across from Carnegie Hall. The restaurant was crowded and busy, but we were greeted immediately and warmly and seated promptly. The food was very good, the service was equally good and my prawns were large, fresh and succulent. The hearty bread was delicious and crusty and when dipped in the deep green Extra Virgin Olive Oil, you felt transported to an olive grove in Italy. Wonderful!
the food remains good, and the service reasonable even when busy, but the upstairs dining room has a depressingly low ceiling and becomes quite noisy.
I love this restaurant. The attitude of the people from the maitre D to the wait staff is focused on the customer. Food is delicious and plentiful. There was a mixup about my rez and we were given a glass of champagne to make up for it. Right on!
Great waiter, delicious food. We have been there several times and love the upbeat feel. I did put in a special request for a table up front, but this is the second time they have not honored the request. I understand they cannot honor all requests, but I did not feel they made much of an attempt.
LOvely dinner, quiet enough to talk, great food... pasta outstanding, salad also... waiter most accomodating and fast, and offered free cookies too, hot from the oven. ONe of my favorite place to go....
Best Pizza in NYC. Thinner than paper. It has tio be folded to eat.
Hadn't been to the restaurant in a while .... energy level was great, but the food was a major disappointment -- not like I remember.
A convenient place for after theatre dining. Nothing special that will drive us to return again. If you want a fabulous meal after the theatre I think you have to go out of the theatre district. Most of the menu items sit at a buffet bar and are not prepared to order.
