Friendly and professional service combined with very good to excellent food make this restaurant a place to return to. The portions are extremely large and would probably feed two people easily. The cost matches the portion size. $9 for a bottle of Panna water is pricey. However, the cost will not stop me from returning.

We love it here. However on this occasion the waitress was not attentive, obviously annoyed that two people sat at a table for 4. We felt rushed. She was just unpleasant. We will be back as the food and atmosphere are exceptional.

Food is always excellent. Noise level seems to go up each year which reminds me why I have not eaten at Trattoria dell'Arte in so long. Why are the waiters in such a rush? Restaurant was not full, we did not have theater tickets, yet appetizer plates were taken away in such a hurry that a very nice and expensive piece of buffalo mozzarella disappeared and was under a pile of other plates (ruined) before we could catch it. For the main course, my guest had to hold her plate down three separate times to avoid having it taken a... read more

Liked the experience very much, although the menu and some of the items have changed since I was there last. There is no longer the combination of selecting 4 vegetables from the antipasto table plus 3 seafood, which made a lovely and somewhat light dinner choice. We shared a very good seafood risotto (made to order and delicious), and I had 4 vegetables (from appetizer selection) which was fresh and good. Wine was sauvignon blanc, and seemed a slightly lesser amount than heretofore in this restaurant. But the dining was goo... read more

Great pre-theater or any other time. I have eaten here at least 8 times, and never had a sub-par experience.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a business associate. This person told me that they had the best Lobster Risotto in the US. I was pleasantly surprised that the dish lived up to the expectations. If I had one complaint it would be that I asked our waiter to pick a bottle of wine to accompany dinner. We told him we thinking of a Pinot Grigio... the bottle that he gave us was horrible. It tasted like a sweet Chardonnay. If you go remember to pick your own bottle of wine!

Excellent food combuned with good setting and excellent service. Food is the distinguishing feature. Also enjoyed Esza 402 W 43rd. Prices more reasonable than many NY restaurants with comparable food.JDH

Waiter started off with charm and alertness, but by the end of the meal, they threw dessert forks on the table and cream and sugar, an promptly for got to bring coffee or dessert! My tuna was burned as opposed to seared on one side - other meals were good. Left with not a great taste in the mouth due to service decline.
