Superb service!! The food was excellent except careful eating pasta vongole since my husband kept biting on clam shell pieces. We loved the risotto and lasagna was delicious. Excellent appetizer selections.
Friendly staff and a buzzy atmosphere in this traditional Italian trattoria. The food is fine but not great, but the restaurant is cosy and friendly. The resident manager is very visible, welcoming and actively involved.
Friendly staff and good to very good food. The app "bar" where you chose what you want to sort of ala carte was different and very good. But even for NYC wow the prices were way out of line. The pizzas were good and very large and thin crust with sparse toppings for $30+ - wow. kids meatballs and spaghetti for $28 etc
I think the kitchen had a melt down, otherwise there is no reason for the food to be that poorly done.
The food was good but the service was quite slow. We told our waiter we had an 8 o'clock show and with a 6:15 reservation we shouldn't have had a problem. We kept having to go to the bar ourselves to get our drinks refilled and dinner came out slowly. But the bill came out even more slowly and we didn't get out of there until 7:50 which left us rushing to get to our seats at Carnegie Hall.

We shared the two desserts offered in the pris fixe menu. I was particularly impressed by our (French) waiter, who remained unflappable and considerate when my guest accidentally knocked over his water glass. Our waiter mopped up quickly, without any fuss, and replaced the water. It was a marvel of elegant service and made us feel better ab... read more
Service is ok- food is phenomenal but could still do with some more traditional fare
We went there after a concert at Carnegie Hall. It is just around the corner and open late, so very convenient. We walked in at 11:00 and the room was very lively and appealing. But the food disappointed. I may have been spoiled by the truly excellent food I've had at many restaurants lately; this was all right and I ate it all, but it seemed tired and uninspired. But, to their credit, the drinks came right away. Often not the case, for some strange reason. So my bottom line is, I might return for convenience, otherwise, not... read more
