Best restaurant in the neighborhood for pre-theater dining before Carnegie Hall concerts.
Trattoria never disappoints. The food is consistently good and offers a range to fit most. Many of the wait staff are long term and know the menu and wine list very well. Even though it is always busy, the staff is attentive. Always one of my favorite go to restaurants when I'm in NYC.
A must when in NYC.
Lots of changes happening here: new menu, new pizza presentations, etc. Some good: some, not so much. I tried the new vegan Pasta Fagoli and found it to be rather bland in taste, though most of the other dishes we had had the usual full flavors we have come to expect here. If you're a Trattoria regular, just be prepared for change.
This restaurant has a special place in my heart from years past and it was fun to revisit it after many years. The food is still excellent and the experience worth the price.
great place for a table of six in what is a private room for 12 if necessary, even though we didn't ask for it.
Haven't been there for years. Great location for City Center and Carnegie Hall. Always lively, but not too lively, with a real NY feel.
The food is always wonderful here. We have always had good wait staff too. This time we got an extremely cranky waiter who we asked FOUR times for water. All he kept saying was that the theatre rush was making him to busy to get us water. He was able to bring our drinks but not the water until we finally went to a manager. They comped us a nice bottle of champagne which made the experience turn around. Would definitely go back but just goes to show one waiter can ruin an experience for a client.
Was a lot of fun. Noticed some tables received more attention than others, wondering what that was about. Waiter very helpful. Will return. Seafood risotto excellent. Buratta also.
