Great food-Outstanding service- a very wecoming experience-would definitely go back.
A perennial favorite when we visit NYC, Trattoria has always stood out because of its delicious food and outstanding service. Exuberantly warm Italian men greet you like they know you and are genuinely happy to see you -- a draw after a long day of work and walking. If you don't order the pizza, you will be jealous when you see it on a neighboring diner's table. And the antipasti bar is just the best.
Conveniently located across from Carnegie Hall. Offers excellent food.

Trattoria Dell'Arte is sitting pretty for location, right across from Carnegie Hall, but they don't use that as an excuse to coast. They excel. We were warmly welcomed on arrival, our waiter was professional, efficient, attentive, and good-humored, and WOW, was the food wonderful! Great veal Marsala, superb steak, and the sampler platter of mozzarella and tomatoes? Divine. We'll be back!
Vibrant scene on a Saturday night. Group of 5 for Pre-Carnigie show meal. Energetic and busy. You definitely had to "shimmy" to the table. Took the waiter what seemed like forever to take our order...but he was a very fun guy and recommended some nice dishes and wine. The food was great. Thin crust pizza was yummy. Once order was placed the food came out quickly. We told the waiter we had to be out the door by 9:45 and he made it happen with ease.
