I've been to Trattoria Delarte over and over again, and it never disappoints. The food is fabulous. The service was amazing - this past weekend. we were allowed to sit and talk for hours after lunch service (after paying our bill so our poor server could go off service) , and they even sent us over some champagne when they saw how much fun we were having!
Comfortable food in a lively setting with attentive service makes for a memorable evening.
We live in Boston so it's always a special occasion when we can visit Trattoria dell'Arte. Saturday night it was a mob scene. Because our reservation was made that morning, we were seated upstairs, less fun than downstairs. It was also too noisy because there was a large b'day party right next to us. We have been ther often and the food has always been outstanding. Our last visit was prior to a major event at the Met so it was unusually crowded.In spite of that the sevice was still pretty good. They make the most wonderful thin crust pizza I have ever eaten anywhere.
If you are in the Carnegie Hall area it is definitely a place for dinner. The menu is simple, but the food is wonderful. The service couldn't have been better.
