I have been to this restaurant several times but never really reviewed it - It is one of the best Italian places in the state of New York! The antipasti bar is super and the 101 layer lasagna is a treat.....must visit! The waiters and Maitre d' were all a interesting lot and were having fun at their jobs - it was joy to see that the staff was so helpful!
They didnt have ketchup; they ran out. Also I asked for my salad dressing on the side and it came mixed in. The mixed antipasto was tastey.
Trattoria Dell"Arte ia always great. The best Marguarita pizza ever. The service was great and the place was packed. We always enjoy and make a point of going to Trattoria Dell"Arte when in NYC.
Not quite as many low fat/low calorie choices as I would like
Great for going catching a quick dinner and going to see James Taylor at Carnegie Hall! Perfect!!!
One of my favorite Italian places in NYC - classic all around. I've eaten here about a dozen times and it is ALWAYS delicious and consistent. The wine list is excellent with some good values. The service is attentive and professional. The decor is a bit out-dated and it's not trendy but if you want to treat yourself to a great meal, this is it. Get the carciofi (best in NYC), clams in white wine sauce, any veal dish (I love the milanese or marsala), the rib eye is enormous and served sliced for two. Plus the anti-pasti bar i... read more
A wonderful experience, I have been going there to eat since I was a child and it never fails to impress me. The food is authentic and delicious and they gave us some complimentary champagne to start our night which was very nice! The managers made sure everything was to our satusfaction and that we were having a good time. The portions are big so you never leave fealing hungry.
This place is an absolute treasure. The food is spectacular, the waiters are a delight. My mom who by the way is incredibly picky, wants to go back again. She has never said that about any place I have taken her. So for me thats so important that she loved the food and the restaurant.
What a warm welcome we received - as did the group behind us, leading me to believe that that's just how it's done here! That warmth was carried over by our waiter as well. The food is always great - I always have a selection from the antipasto, a colorful and well-prepared range of delicious items. The pizza is great here too - thin-crusted and authentic. Well-located and pretty, this is a great place for pre-theatre or anytime!
